The BlueStone Safety Wild Bill Leather Revolver holster has a leather thumb break closed with a heavy duty snap, which keeps your revolver securely in place. This holster will protect your firearm for generations to come. Measuring 10.5 inches in length, it will accommodate single or double action revolvers with a 4 to 6 inch barrel, including Ruger Red Hawk, Ruger Wrangler, Colt Army, etc. The belt loop will fit up to 3 inch wide belts and keeps your revolver easily within reach. As a gentle reminder, leather holsters will be stiff and require time to stretch and break in, similar to a leather baseball glove. We recommend pressing down on the leather with your fingers to break it in or leave your revolver in the Wild Bill Holster for several hours so it can adjust.

Good, solid, stout, strong,,, if someone shot me in the hip with a 45-70 while I was wearing this I'd just laugh and offer to buy him a beer. My single-six fit just like a cat on a bean-bag chair, the Blackhawk (what I bought this holster for) took a little bit of prying and twisting but, after a very short period of use, they now fit together like a couple that's been married 40 years,,,,uh,,maybe that's not the best analogy,,,thinking of my Grandpa and Grandma, but, anyway, I'm real happy with this holster. 5 1/2" Blackhawk doesn't reach anywhere near the toe of this holster, I cut off about 2" (my apologies to the craftsman who made the holster), doubled up the stitching where I cut it off and still have about 3/4" extra to protect the muzzle and front sight.

Absolutely love this holster... I have a S&W .357 magnum and this holster is a match made in heaven right out of the box, no breaking in needed and still has a firm hold. Was ready to get the wax paper out to help it mold seeing as some people's firearms were a little tight, but no need for me. Sturdy leather very strong stitching, buttons fasten very well with a strong hold but easily enough manipulated with one hand. Don't question this holster it is amazing. If you have doubt still it is at the very very very least a solid decision to buy it try it and return it if you find an issue. Thank you for this quality item... worth taking photos of for others thinking of buying (I only do photos for product that are above and beyond, and this is easily worth the price you Invest!).

Using for my Heritage revolver. Wonderful holster. Top grade. Like a good baseball glove you will have to work it. Fine workmanship and worth every penny! Like the man with the big nose ( Karl Malden) " Don't leave home without it"

I bought two of these holsters for Ruger Red Hawks. Out of the package they fit a bit tight. But you put the handgun in and leave it for a while and it fits very well. It will work very good to take hunting.

It will not hold my Ruger .44 as intended but I did find that it is perfect for my Ruger .22 Hunter with its 7.5 " barrel. I just switched holsters. My older holster is probably stretched out such that the .44 fits nicely.

It’s a beautiful holster for the price. I have a Heritage Rough Rider .22 6 1/2” barrel. It fits ok, but there’s no retention for the RR .22 and the last thing I want is to lose my revolver on a trail. I can see a larger revolver working better with this holster. I guess I’ll be buying a Heritage .45 next to fit this holster! Mink oil really makes it pop!

This is one of those purchases that needs a fairly unusual review. First off, the holster is suitable for the purpose advertised. I purchased a pair of them for my Ruger New Vaquero pistols, which have a 5.5" barrel. The holster could actually stand to be about an inch shorter than it is and still fit the revolvers quite well. I may modify the holsters. On the other hand, they will do the job nicely and should meet SASS requirements, if that is a factor. They are well-made and appear to be quite durable.

Great feel, very strong. Gotta love the fresh leather smell too! It's hard to tell in the pictures from amazon, but it's actually an American flag pressed into the side of the holster-so that is awesome. It was a pleasant surprise.
